Thursday miscellanea #61

  • Remember, remember the fifth of November…
  • I participated in a Zogby poll on foreign policy last night.
  • Sesame Street will be 40 years old next week.
  • I’d support nearly anyone running against that detestable self-important ass Barbara Boxer (ma’am), but I do quite like Carly Fiorina.  Here’s hoping she wins the primary and pummels Boxer in the general.  I’ll write her a check if she gets that far.
  • Dowsing for bombs, at $60,000 a pop.  Wow.  How long before the Americans leave again?
  • I haven’t followed baseball in 15 years, so I don’t know how it happened, but the World Series in November is surely a crime against nature.  By the way, Jesus hates the Yankees.
  • Can’t write this stuff, folks.  The Edmond J. Safra Foundation Center for Ethics at Harvard University is pleased to welcome Eliot Spitzer for a lecture on November 12.
