We lost Uncle Bill yesterday. We’ll miss him, but all of us are comforted that he’s with God (and his beloved Dottie) now.
I told the boys when I came home last night. They were sad, but mostly all right. Aaron talked about it a little bit at school today, and I’m so glad his teacher overheard and emailed Lea the following:
I just overheard the sweetest (funny) conversation. Aaron was telling the students at his table that he has “good news and bad news.” “The bad news is my uncle died.” “The good news is he’s still in my heart.” “When people die they can still be in your heart.” “Michael Jackson is not in my heart though.”
Heh. Mine either, big man.
RIP, Uncle Bill.

Deepest condolences on your loss.
I’m so sorry. My thoughts are with you all.
Thank you all. It’s really as okay as these things get. He missed his wife so terribly, and I’m pleased they’re together again.
