Round 2…sigh

Well, I had a little less than a week of full relief.

Enough of the accursed beasties survived my initial antibiotic regimen to make me sick again.  It started happening on Monday, and I kept dismissing and rationalizing it.  But by yesterday afternoon there was no denying it.  So I’m trying another identical run of drugs and hoping this one takes.

As unpleasant as it’s been, at least it’s not the flu.

I hope to be back tomorrow with something a little more interesting than this has been.

  1. Hey – wait a minute! There was no “nose turning.” I was simply expressing our cultural differences. Besides, Mrs. Chili is DEATHLY allergic to shellfish (so much so that she reacted to just being on the beach at Sanibel Island, Florida), so there would be no crawfish pie at her house in any case.

I’m sorry you feel rotten, Honey, but don’t apologize for writing about it. Sometimes you’ve got fun and brilliant, sometimes you’ve got everyday mundane. We love you either way.

  2. LOL! Sorry Mrs. Chili. My mother in law is also deathly allergic to shellfish, which was tough for her living in S. LA. So, we have the crawfish pie a couple of days before she shows up, so as to not accidentally expose her to it.

  3. It kind of pisses me off to be so sensitive to it, too. I can react to the particles of cooking oil in the air; the guy who tosses my salad in a bowl can’t have tossed my mother-in-law’s lobster on the platter. Seriously – have you been to Sanibel Island? I spent the whole vacation on antihistamines. What a drag.

  4. It was GORGEOUS, even with the red tide (lots of dead fish on the beach) and all the hurricane damage. We’re thinking of going back this summer and staying at Captiva; Mr. Chili is already researching flights and resorts…

  5. Please, do enjoy yourselves. I hope I can get over there and have some of that pie.

And thank you for virtually patting me on the head, Mrs. Chili. Hugs atcha.
